On our way out of town we stopped to take pictures of this really cool view in the mountains. I was terrified that the kids would fall so I made them stay wayyyyyy back from the edge.

We signed up August to play in the community soccer league this year. He had a great time and really improved over the last 2 months. At the beginning he was shy, hesitant and was too nice. He wouldn't take the ball from other people and was patiently waiting for his turn, which is what he has been taught to do. He gradually learned over the season that he couldn't be so nice. Today was his last game. He was aggressive, even slightly pushing others out of the way so they wouldn't get to the ball. He even scored 2 goals!!! We were so proud of him, especially Adam!!

He had a great team and coach. It has been fun watching him improve and understand more how to play. Here's to a successful soccer season!

Easter Egg Hunt

We went to an Easter egg hunt on base today. There were a ton of eggs and the kids had a blast.

Mya was TERRIFIED of the Easter bunny. She wouldn't

even pick up any eggs until he was out of sight.

There was a local church that put on a big community Easter festival at the "zoo." I put quotes on the zoo because there are maybe 15 animals max. But today there was free admissions, free food and bouncy houses and slides. There were also carnival games and a drawing every half hour. They gave away bikes and all kinds of toys. There were probably about 400-500 names. They would rotate between giving away toys and bikes. We waited for one more drawing before we were ready to head out and go home. They called a couple of names for toys and then they drew for a bike. The name they called was........MYA WALTON!!!! Mya won a bike! Here is the bike she picked. August will be so happy with her choice in a couple of years.
